It's coming along wonderful. The seeds I planted with the boys last weekend alredy have lots of sprouts. Especially the Boston Lettuce. This weekend we will be transplanting them from the seed trays into the ground. The two patio plants I have, the tomatos and sweet green peppers already have lots of baby veggies on them.

The mint and the catnip and cat mint just started showing some sprouts. I ended up putting the one sweet cherry tomatoes into my topsy turvy planter and it should do well there.

I still need to get some chicken wire for the luffas and the cucumbers. We are going to plant the beans, lettuce and peas under the chicken wire angled agaisnt the house. SO they will get the shade they need.

My two white azaleas are still in full bloom. The Fusia is filling out nicely. I have about 12 morning glories packs to plant in my last hanging basket.

i saw this cool idea on FB, you take a dozen long stem roses, cut the stem down to about 9 inches, removing all leaves and thorns up to 3 inches from the bud. then you stick them in a potato and plant them burying the potato about 3 inches down. And in about a month you will see new bloom sprouts off the 1 long stem rose you planted. you could do a variety of colors.

Its nice and sunny out today. I am going to clean up the front flower bed and roll out the hummingbird butterfly drawing flowers. It comes in a 10 foot roll and is about a foot or so wide. All you do is roll it out and water it. No extra soil needed.

I want to go down to the nursery and get a few red raspberry bushes and maybe a blueberry bush. If they have any melon or hot peppers left I will get a few of them as well. They were only a buck for 4 plants. All the makings for homemade salsa. I wish we were farther south so I could have some citrus trees. I would want, oranges, lemons, limes, peaches and grapefruit.

The thing I miss about not living in Western New York, is the Lilac Festival. We have lilacs down here, but they don't bloom as long as they did in NY.

I love the smell of Lilacs. My neighbor told me as soon as hers is in bloom she is going to cut some for me. They give off such a beautiful sweet scent that will fill the entire house of with its aroma.

The Lilac Festival in Rochester, draws 100,000's of people each year for the week long festival. SO many things to do, live music, craft shows and of course some really awesome venders foods.

There are many colors for lilacs. Pink, white light purple, dark purple, yellow, blue and a deep pink. Its so easy to make your own lilac water to spritz yourself with.

It has been beautiful out. Me and the kids are going to do some planting this weekend and getting the yard cleaned up.

I have a couple tomato plants, a huge sweet pepper plant and then I got a few flowers. We got a great deal on 2 white azaleas because they had been under watered and about half dead. Brought them home and soak them and just checked a little while ago and they look great.

I got an early mothers present( my choice) of some star gazer lillies to plant out front. I also got some strawberrys to put in my hanging basket...Mmmm fresh strawberries all summer.

I still want to get a few raised beds done and then some slanted boards covered in chciken wire to my cucumbers and luffas, so that will give me room under those for some beans and peas.

We have a bunch of seeds to plant as well.

A few different mints, still looking for choclate mint

rosemary

sage

chives

Thyme

basil - a few varities

heirloom catnip

cat mint

english lavander

daturas

moonflowers

and a slew of wild flowers to let grow wild in the front along the path tothe front door.

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend.
